How to Drink MN Hops During All Pints North

The best weekend of the year is upon us. It’s time for All Pints North.

If you know our crew (ok, maybe it’s just me) but this is a favorite weekend every year. It’s an all-out full-stop no-time-to-waste jam-packed couple of days with plenty of music, festivities, friends and of course, beer.

This year, we put together a road map so Minnesota Hop Fans (YOU!) can enjoy Mighty Axe Hops all weekend with us. Here’s where to be:

SIR BENEDICT’S | CREAM ALE BY DANGEROUS MAN BREWING

In a last minute addition, Dangerous Man Cream Ale will be on tap for the Sir Benedict’s All Pints Pre-Party on Friday, July 26! Featuring Mighty Axe Julius, this 5.7% crusher is crisp, slightly malty and has citrus undertones that are characteristic to our Julius hops. Challenge us to a round of hammerschlagen — if you dare. We’ll be the ones in the “DRINK MORE IPA” shirts.

BREWERS GARAGE | MN NICE SCANDINAVIAN EDITION BY FITGERS BREWHOUSE

Okay. We might be a little biased. We’re the stage sponsor for the Brewers Bash pre-party on Friday, July 26 with Black Market Brass! But, we know you’re gonna want to enjoy a beer and some sweet dance moves at some point. MN Nice will be on tap from Fitger’s Brewhouse, which is a hazy pale ale featuring Mighty Axe Julius hops, 2-row malt, wheat, and oats from our pals at Maltwerks, and a ridiculous hornindahl kveik yeast strain. This is a juicy 5.7%, 45 IBU sipper will perfectly pair with some hot jazz. Party goes from 7pm to midnight, then catch the after party across the street at the Rathskeller from Midnight until the wee hours of the morning. Plus it’ll be pouring at the fest!!

BENT PADDLE BREWING | MELLOW HAZE

One thing you can count on for All Pints North weekend: it’s always pretty warm, even for Duluth. We know how much you all love the super juicy hazy IPAs, but what about trying one that’s a little bit more laid back for this occasion? We give you: Bent Paddle Brewing Mellow Haze. This is a Tropica-heavy crusher, chiming in at 5.0% and 32 IBUS with notes of (and these are the brewer’s own words) Haribo Pineapple Gummy Bears with slight pine, and dank tones.

URSA MINOR BREWING | CONSTELLATION CREAM ALE

Follow up Mellow Haze from Bent Paddle by venturing down the street to (and try not to get distracted by all the good food along the way…) Ursa Minor Brewing for Constellation Cream Ale. Made 100% with Mighty Axe Crystal hops, you’re going to get bright lemon candy goodness, but only if you have enough control to not rip through this 5.1% ABV shredder.

HOOPS BREWING | #218 STRONG PALE ALE

If you get tired of cranking 5%-ers and are looking for something with a little more heft and depth, follow the green light to Hoops Brewing! Packed with our wares and some Canadian Malt, this 7% 70 IBU SPA aims to strike the great never-ending search for balance between hop bitterness and malt sweetness. This beer will help you slow your roll and appreciate the more classic IPA styles.
